INFANT THERMAL TRANSPORT PROTECTION SYSTEM (ITTPS)

ABOUT

Low resource areas such as Malawi, Africa face a scarcity of physicians, an unreliable electric grid, and inadequate equipment, which makes keeping infants warm during transport to the hospital a challenge.

The ITTPS system was designed to safely transport prenatal infants from villages to our target hospital in Lilongwe, Malawi.

The main challenges of this project were the restrictions placed by our client to use sustainable materials that could be easily found in that country. Reason being the device had to be simple enough to reproduce and operate with minimal training.
